MANATEE, FL – October 2010 – Holland Construction announces completion of three new projects: Fish Hole at Lake Uihlein Adventure Golf, Main Street Bazaar Golf and Novelty Store, and Trattoria Italian Restaurant, all located at Lakewood Ranch's Main Street.
Holland was selected to build Fish Hole at Lake Uihlein Adventure Golf and also Main Street Bazaar Golf and Novelty Store, both located on Main Street in Lakewood Ranch. For the Adventure Golf project, Holland constructed 18 holes of mini-golf themed around an old fishing village. The golf project includes a pavilion, a water wheel house and two buildings architecturally fashioned after traditional ice houses.
The Fish Hole borders the shores of Lake Uihlein, a beautiful 160 acre lake in the center of the community. The architect for the Adventure Golf project was WBRC Architects∙Engineers in Lakewood Ranch. The Main Street Bazaar Golf and Novelty Store is a separate but related project for Jacob Spooner, owner of both Fish Hole Adventure Golf and Main Street Bazaar.
Spooner says, "Craig Campbell and Holland Construction accomplished this unique project through diligence and hard work. Once construction started, there were a lot of unexpected twists and turns, and Holland handled each one with expertise. There were design elements integral to the project that had to be figured out as they were built, such as the water wheel. The end result is an Adventure Golf Course that looks and plays great."
Holland Construction was also awarded the contract for the newest restaurant project in Lakewood Ranch. Main Street Trattoria Italian Restaurant contains over 3,300 total square feet of space and seats approximately 150 inside and 50 outside for casual dining. Located at 8131 Main Street, restaurant construction is scheduled for completion in August. The Main Street Trattoria Italian Restaurant includes a unique "two-way" bar accessible to patrons inside and outside the restaurant, along with a festive canopied outdoor dining terrace.
