Project Coordinator

Local construction company seeking experienced Project Coordinator to assist our PM's in their daily activities. The primary objective of this position would be to plan, prepare, organize and maintain project documentation. This person will be responsible for ensuring that correspondence are properly distributed among our Project Managers, as well as creating and maintaining reports and carrying out other construction-related duties as necessary. Some construction knowledge is a plus.

DEFINITION

The primary objective of this position is to coordinate the day-to-day activities of active construction projects, in consultation with Project Management.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Plan, Organize, and Act as the Company Representative pertaining to project documentation.
Anticipates and provides for Company’s needs to access information and general coordination with daily project activities. Coordinates the transmission of submittals; post award and during the active project. May act as a liaison between Company and: Customers, Subcontractors, Architects, Owner, and General Contractors on active projects.

Maintains and Monitors Records Cleans up project records;
ensures as-builts are provided and filed; collects Subcontractor O&M manuals; prepares Company’s Job Specific O&M manuals, accepted submittals, testing requirements, all related project material, and collects all compliance documents for closeout. Maintains a log on submittals, Requests for Information (RFI), and Potential Change Orders (PCO)/Directives to verify timely architectural/engineering response.

General Duties
Maintain project documentation for Construction Department; ensures that memos, faxes, emails, and conversation issues are promptly distributed to those who need to know; performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

*1-3 years of related construction experience

Knowledge of:

  • Correct English usage, spelling, vocabulary, and arithmetic. 
  • Effective record keeping and document management. 
  • Microsoft Office products

Ability to:

  • Coordinate, organize, schedule, and prioritize tasks for self. 
  • Handle multiple priorities, duties, jobs/projects, and responsibilities.
  • Work with a wide variety of people.
  • Assemble diverse data and prepare reports
  • Follow oral and written instructions.
  • Effectively communicate issues related to construction to proper Company Departments and personnel.
  • Learn and perform routine computer applications
  • Learn and follow company and department policies and procedures.
